Setting up a new website
Trying to work on my own website has turned out to be harder than expected.
On the one hand I wanted it to be beautiful, amazing, show off everything I know, simple, engaging and exciting all at the same time. On the other hand, I didn’t want to waste too much time on my own website, it’s not like I’m getting paid for it!
That last part is obviously where people go wrong most of the time. You need a website for your business for many reasons, not only so that you can have an email address with your own domain on your business card (technically, you don’t even a website set up for that).
When you’re working with a new potential client, the mere fact that they can just go online and “Google” you makes them feel more confident in you. Being able to see exactly how you can help them grow is just the icing on the cake (no more “Did I remember to mention that I do blah as well?!?”).
Nowadays, for most businesses it’s no less important to have an up-to-date website than it is to have a phone number.
Does your business have a website? When was the last time it was updated?
